The Pirate Signal

I saw these guys open for Public Enemy in Aspen, not far from their native Denver. While Colorado isn't known as a breeding ground for hip-hop talent, The Pirate Signal was pretty impressive. Their style is in the vein of Gym Class Heroes circa "Cupid's Choke-hold", with an emo spin to a upbeat sound. As far as I could tell, the frontman, Yonnas, had been smoking funny things all night, but he was coherent enough to spit some fire and sell me an album. What a champ.

Fun Stuff. Real cool live.

I thought it was clever.

If you liked the other stuff, pick up the full mixtape. Pretty good shit.

(PS - TJ, Zshare works great)
