Mashup Mondays

O-K so its been a while but I'm back with some more Siamese hotness. The obvious mash of Party and Bullshit and Miley Cirus' embarassingly awesome Party in the USA. Amazing new Wiz Khalifa song with Empire of the Sun. Really chill mash of 99 problems and Fences by Pheonix (maybe my favorite of the bunch). LET THE BEAT BUILD BITCH

The Thrill - Wiz Khalifa vs. Empire of the Sun

Party N Bullshit in the USA - Biggie and Miley Cirus

99 Fences - Don Diablo vs Pheonix vs Jay-Z

Mashup Mondays

Copped this over the summer. Terry Urban and Mick Boogie collabo to make remixes (and mashups) of the 2009 Grammy Nominees. Alot of the songs on this mixtape are from Viva La Hova, but besides those, I picked out the best ones. Check it out.

Lollipop (Kickdrums Remix) - Lil Wayne & Kanye West let the beat build on this one

Reckon A Superstar - Radiohead feat. Lupe Fiasco yes, its another Reckoner mashup, but this is really chill and they made it unique

Say (Terry Urban Judah Remix) - John Mayer feat. Jay Z dont let John Mayer scare you away

I Got A Love Song - Lupe Fiasco feat. Sara Bareilles They used a little less of love song than I had hoped but it still makes a dope beat

Mashup Mondays

Great summer mashup by B Roc of the Knocks, a really good one featuring Biggie and Pac, and, in my opinion, a simply better version of Day N Nite. The original got old pretty fast, but the mashup by Party Ben is upbeat and jazzy.

Mr Boom Boom Jones - Black Eyed Peas vs. Counting Crows (Right Click, Save as)

Runnin With The xx (Quix vs Eliot Blend) - Biggie vs. Tupac vs. The xx

Shame (At Nite) - KiD CuDi vs. Evelyn Champagne King

Mashup Mondays: Easter Egg

Recently i found a mashup artist who goes by Easter Egg. His newest mashup album is called "Jackin' For Beats" (Download). This guys pretty good and at times he even surpasses Girl Talk. The quality of the mashups steadily increases as the album develops, the really good ones starting at about "House Head". The ones before that are just ok but still pretty good. Its a well developed and organized album and i love that it starts really up beat and the last song ends with a chill beat and a Biggie verse. Here are the last three songs on the album.

And I shouldnt have to tell you to play them in order.

The West

For The Ladies

That's The Way

PB&J

So recently alot of rappers have tested the waters of "hipster" music and with the exception of Jim Jones' freestyle over MGMT's "Electric Feel", most artists have come up with some pretty good collaborations. One group in particular has gotten notable attention, as Peter, Bjorn and John have even gone on tour with Kanye, playing as his back up band at times. Their newish song "Nothing to Worry About" has also gotten a fair amount of attention from DJs. Their album Living Thing came out on March 31 and is availiable on iTunes.

Young Folks (Freestyle) - Kanye West and Peter, Bjorn & John

Lets Call It Off (Feat. Peter, Bjorn & John) - Drake

Nothing to Worry About (Troublemakers Remix)

Party and Bullshit (Dave Wrangler Remix) - Notorious B.I.G. vs Peter, Bjorn & John

Mashup Mondays: Ludachrist

This guys got a few cool mashups. He has his own series of mashup albums called Bangfest, but at times he gets a little too electronic for my taste. Here are two of the best songs from the album. Ludachrist's website-->

Soul on Ice - This is really really good. Basically uses "Cold as Ice" as a sample for "Soul Survivor"

The Legend of Curtis - This is a pretty cool mashup of Zelda and 50 Cent's "Little Bit". Let The Beat Build on this one

Mashup Mondays: Triple Threat

This week I have 3 mashup albums: Adrian Champion's relatively new Stars and Stripes featuring The White Stripes, and oldies but goodies - Viva La Hova featuring Jay-Z and Coldplay, and A Rhyming Ape featuring Lupe Fiasco and Gorillaz.

Stars and Stripes  -  Some posers posted this last week drooling over it as though it was the soundtrack to the second coming but honestly it isnt all that. This being said there are still some pretty good tracks that make this album worth checking out.

Ante Up Every Way - Featuring M.O.P.

Stars Stripes - Featuring Adrian Champion and Brian Jacobs

Tha Countdown Blues - Featuring Red Man

Viva La Hova - Terry Urban came out with this album this winter. The Jay-Z Coldplay mix works well for the most part, much like MTV's Collision Course that put his rhymes to Linkin Park, but there are one or two beats that just dont sound good at all. Never the less, this buried treasure is now availiable again for anyone who missed it. (What if we cry?, X-Y-Z, and Lost Part 1 are 3 of my favs)

A Rhyming Ape - Lupe Fiasco + Gorillaz= gold. Short but sweet, the three-year-old A Rhyming Ape is a great album from head to toe. Preview

Mashup Mondays

Still Fly Like a Dragon (Big Tymers vs yeah yeah yeahs)  by  PTKilla

Got some more quality mashups this week. Big Tymers vs. the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (i didnt make this), Bloody Beetroots vs. Lil Wayne, Radiohead vs. Eve, and Ghostface vs. Spoon.

We Are From Venice (Lil-Weezy-Ana) - ignore the static at the beginning, its part of the beat

Tambourine Reckoning - i really like this one (1:55)

The Ghostface of You Still Lingers - weird but good

Mashup Mondays: E-603

Discover Simple, Private Sharing at Drop.io

This week I got a really good mashup album by this guy named E-603. Even though this guy looks like he belongs at Hogwarts his beats are actually sick and Girl Talk-esque. You can download the entire album here.

Lil Wayne vs Buffalo Springfeild

Thinking of What it's Worth

Daft Punk vs. Ghostface Killa

Daft Ghost 500

Heres another one of Earworm's mixes:

Reckoner Lockdown - Kanye West vs Radiohead

Awesome mix courtesy of Robin*****

Lastly Lil Wayne's Comfortable vs Royksopp's Happy Up Here

Comfortable Up Here - Lil Wayne vs. Royksopp

Mashup Monday: Super Mash Bros

If you haven't already heard of these fellows, their album is sick. Its a continuous mix, mostly of 90's alt and current hip-hop. They're clever sons of bitches. Just look at their name.

PT: Mashup Mondays

I got a couple of mashups this week: Asher Roth vs T-Wayne, Katy Perry vs Metallica, Lil Wayne vs Coldplay, Lady Gaga vs 3 6 Mafia and Pitbull, and last but not least Usher vs Taylor Swift.

Note: some of the previews of these songs have crappy sound quality but im pretty sure that when u download them (which you should bc they r free), they get better.

I Love Money - Asher Roth vs Lil Wayne and T-Pain

Reeaally good mashup between I Love College and Got Money. And for those of you who hate Asher, dont worry cuz hes not in it.

Sandman's Hot N Cold - Katy Perry vs Metallica

Surpisingly awesome. I was a little skeptical before i heard it but this is actually really good. The sound quality of the preview may be crappy but when u download it its better.

Viva La Millie - Lil Wayne vs Coldplay

Terry Urban did a good job with this mashup. Viva la Vida vs A Millie. another really good mashup.

Poker Face (Pinto Remix) - Lady Gaga vs Pitbull n 3 6 Mafia

One more good mashup. Lolli Lolli vs Poker Face. Poker Face's beats with Lolli Lolli's verses, works out really well.

Club Love - Usher vs Taylor Swift

Last, but definately not least. As if Love Story needed improving, but this mashup is done really well. Love Story vs Love in This Club. Check it out.

Mashup Mondays: Red Hot Chillipop

Lil Wayne vs. Red Hot Chilli Peppers
