Come Get With It
http://www.zshare.net/download/59382044a484dbc5/
A nice easy track from Basic Vocab, "Come Get With It" takes it's cues from the likes of Common and A Tribe Called Quest. You might have heard it on Entourage a while back.
THROW YOUR W'S UP.

Some Newish & Not So New Stuff
Glock Nines (Ratatat Remix) - Jay-Z & Beanie Sigel -- ZShare
- Simple but good remix by Ratatat.
The Reeling - Passion Pit -- Zshare
- First single off Passion Pit's (the guys who did Sleepyhead) new album. Its not that new but very good. There is something about the lead singer's voice that is very unique, which adds to the allure of the band. Also check out the music video here. its really weird but cool.
Hot Love Drama - MGMT -- Zshare
- New MGMT. It's a little different, but I still like it.
-So Passion Pit is having a remix contest and this is the single they released for it. More info on the contest here. Listeners will vote on the best version and the winner will be picked on May 15th. Track is pretty good on its own but I cant wait to see what people come up with.
Keepin it Weird
Heres some Santogold and Lykke Li to wrap up your weekend. "Shove It (Grandtheft Remix)" Santogold featuring Spank Rock, as well as "I'm Good, I'm Gone" by Lykke Li. enjoyShove It (Grandtheft Remix)

DC Chillin
Our very own Wale has announced his first album, Attention Deficit, will drop this summer. The first single "Chillin" features a catchy sample, as well as Lady Gaga doing her best MIA impression. Here are a few other tracks from the DC native:
Because every good rapper needs a song about strippers
A track from last year's "Mixtape About Nothing". Interesting background.
Obligatory track with Wayne.

Re-Rebirth?
After receiving a polarized response to rock-oriented tracks such as "Prom Queen" and "Hot Revolver" (I'm a fan), Weezy switches up the game plan for Rebirth. With these new tracks, Wayne exhibits what he does best, RAPPING over guitar-laden, Beastie Boys-esque beats. Here's a couple of cuts currently making the Internet rounds:
"Spit" ft. Kevin Rudolph (3rd Official Single) -

Chiddy Bang
These guys have been making some major noise with their flow and infectious beats/remixes. They are all in college in Philly and with their awesome taste in samples and their singles have been really good so far.

Soldier - N.E.R.D
N.E.R.D has been pretty quiet since seeing sounds. This track features Santagold, and in some versions, Weezy. I don't think there's a studio version yet, but here's a live recording with a nice verse from Wayne.
Kind of a Big Deal...
"Kinda Like a Big Deal" - Clipse ft. Kanye West (Prod. by DJ Khalil)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/589565355c63caad/
The VA Beach boys come hard with this certified banger produced by L.A.'s own DJ Khalil. Though The Thornton Brothers undoubtedly go in on the track, Kanye steals the show, delivering one of his best and most technical verses to date.

Mashup Monday: Super Mash Bros
If you haven't already heard of these fellows, their album is sick. Its a continuous mix, mostly of 90's alt and current hip-hop. They're clever sons of bitches. Just look at their name.PT: Mashup Mondays
I got a couple of mashups this week: Asher Roth vs T-Wayne, Katy Perry vs Metallica, Lil Wayne vs Coldplay, Lady Gaga vs 3 6 Mafia and Pitbull, and last but not least Usher vs Taylor Swift.
Note: some of the previews of these songs have crappy sound quality but im pretty sure that when u download them (which you should bc they r free), they get better.
Reeaally good mashup between I Love College and Got Money. And for those of you who hate Asher, dont worry cuz hes not in it.
Surpisingly awesome. I was a little skeptical before i heard it but this is actually really good. The sound quality of the preview may be crappy but when u download it its better.
Terry Urban did a good job with this mashup. Viva la Vida vs A Millie. another really good mashup.
One more good mashup. Lolli Lolli vs Poker Face. Poker Face's beats with Lolli Lolli's verses, works out really well.
Last, but definately not least. As if Love Story needed improving, but this mashup is done really well. Love Story vs Love in This Club. Check it out.

Whatup Bitches.
First off, hopefully you've checked out Rhymefest's mixtape The Manual. It's a few weeks old but for those who haven't copped it yet, do so now. Link's below.
He does hate on the bloggerfolk though: "You from cleveland claimin' harlem / Brooklyn girls this guys got problems / I'm from chi-town where dey rob 'em / Stay at home and stick to bloggin"..... shit, why you gotta be like that 'fest.
Also, here are a a couple tracks me and the crew recorded back in the day, one is the Seiver song and the other is a clip of the WORST take ever, which happened while we were recording "Taking a Shit on Connor's Flaky Face," it's pretty funny. I'll post more of these old gems later, and once Senior Projects start I'll be posting fresh ones.

Blame It On the...
Jamie Foxx's "Blame It" vs. The Pharcyde's "Passin' Me By"-
http://www.zshare.net/audio/5888483873d5c039/
Little bit of the old versus the new. Alcohol-inspired pop gem of the autotune era layered on top of one of my favorite 90's throwback joints. Good for a lazy Sunday, post-party contemplation of the previous night. Enjoy.
Bruno Trailer
If you thought Borat was funny, meet Bruno. Sacha Baron Cohen's homosexual alter ego hits the big screen this summer.

Neo-Journey
Honestly im not sure how I feel about these remixes but the first time I heard them I thought they were cool so you may want to check them out.
mashup with Lady GaGa and Akon, ive actually heard better versions of this on youtube but i cant find any downloadable ones.
A remix to Any Way You Want It... good but gets kindof repetative by the end
May be my favorite out of the bunch -- its just Dont Stop Believing with a dope beat put over it. Simple. Safe. Sgood.
Marinelli's Here Too...
...and I'm white.
Asher Roth, a fellow white man, came onto the scene a couple months ago. The dude's got kind of a bad rep, due largely to his fruity single I Love College. This cracker isn't all bad though. He released this mixtape a while back, and there's some good stuff on it. I recommend "The Cannon" and "Just Listen".
